Organic Guatemala SHB Huehuetenango Coyequal (GP)

It has a sweet acidity with pleasant fruity notes.  You might actually taste some chocolate in there!  It has a solid body, with a balanced, complex, clean and nice aftertaste.  (Wow, that’s a lot of adjectives!)

The Zoom Doggy Take

This bean has notes of sweet cherry, orange and peach.  It has the same nice edge that Guatemala beans usually have, and roasts up real nice at a medium temp.

Where is this from?

This bean comes from the town of San Antonio Huista in the Huehuetenango region, Guatemala.  You can check out this bio card from our friends at Royal Coffee New York for more details.

The geek details:

  • “SHB” stands for strictly hard bean, which means the beans were grown over 1,350 meters altitude.
  • “GP” stands for GrainPro. It means the beans are packaged and shipped in bags with a GrainPro liner, helping protect the beans as they travel from Guatemala to the Zoom Doggy warehouse.
